Homeschool classes are regularly offered by some of the museums in the CASHA region. These classes can be a great supplement to your homeschool program or even just a pleasant opportunity for your students to get out and meet their homeschooling peers while learning new and exciting things.

Children's Discovery Museum, Normal, IL
In addition to their numerous free floor programming events and classes open to the public, the Children's Discovery Museum, located in uptown Normal, offers monthly classes during the school year for homeschooled children. Multiple sessions of each class are usually offered and classes are divided by age groups: 5-8 and 9-13. Topics vary from historical to scientific in nature.

Champaign County Forest Preserve District
The
Champaign County Forest Preserve District’s Education Department offers a "myriad of ways to learn about the natural and cultural histories of East Central Illinois", just one of which is classes for homeschooled students. Homeschool parents can sign up to receive the Homeschool Hi-Lights Newsletter, which has information about programs, workshops and events and more.

Visit their homeschool page to learn more about upcoming classes or to view the Homeschool Hi-Lites Newsletter online.

Wildlife Prairie State Park
Wildlife Prairie State Park is conveniently located 2.5 miles south of I-74, just 10 miles west of downtown Peoria. Their Education Center provides many classes and opportunities open to the public, but they also have daytime classes specifically organized for homeschooled students.
